World Martial Arts Games 2007

Regensburg, Germany


Members from Shinbukan school in Pozarevac took place on 2nd World Martial Arts Games (WMAG) held this July in Regensburg, Germany. They were part of Serbian National team, which also included members from Jujutsu clubs in Crvenka, Belgrade and Novi Sad. Head coach of our team was Mr. Goran Jaksic. WMAG hosts made an extensive schedule which offered loads of activities from over 350 competitors from 16 countries. At the opening ceremony and medal awards ceremonies there were flags of Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Serbia, Netherlands, Austria, USA, Czech Republic, Spain, Ireland, Croatia, Azerbaijan... Members of Serbian team were warmly hosted by Serbian emigrants, who were happy to see their countrymen competing and winning medals in Germany. With total of 17 medals, Serbia was among the most successful nations on WMAG. During the special "Night of the Champions" Serbia had three competitors in final bouts, Milica Vranic from Crvenka in Sport Jujutsu and Grappling, and Slobodan Drakulic and Ivica Zdravkovic from Pozarevac in heavyweight Sport Jujutsu "Serbian finals". This is a list of all medals won by Serbian competitors: Clanovi Shinbukan skole iz Pozarevca ucestvovali su na drugim Svetskim Borilackim Igrama (WMAG) odzanim ovog jula u gradu Regensburgu u Nemackoj. Oni su bili deo nacionalnog tima u kome su ucestvovali i clanovi jujutsu klubova iz Crvenke, Novog Sada i Beograda. Kapiten tima bio je Goran Jaksic. Domacini Igara napravili su opsirnu satnicu koja je tokom tri dana obilovala aktivnostima u kojima je ucestvovalo preko 350 takmicara iz 16 zemalja. Na ceremoniji otvaranja i prilikom dodele medalja videle su se zastave Nemacke, Velike Britanije, Kanade, Srbije, Holandije, Austrije, SAD, Ceske, Spanije, Irske, Hrvatske, Azerbejdzana... Clanove naseg tima toplo su primili i ljudi iz srpske dijaspore u Regensburgu, srecni sto vide zemljake kako osvajaju medalje u Nemackoj. Sa ukupno 17 osvojenih medalja, Srbija je medju najuspesnijim nacijama na ovim Igrama. Tokom specijane "Noci sampiona", tri takmicara iz Srbije borila su se u finalnim borbama: Milica Vranic iz Crvenke u Sport Jujutsu i Grappling disciplinama, kao i Slobodan Drakulic i Ivica Zdravkovic u "srpskom finalu" u teskoj kategoriji u disciplini Sport Jujutsu.
